Saturday, May 10, 2003 ::: Watched Madonna's interview on MTV Asia. She's an icon, and there's a reason behind it. My heart sank when she explained why she pulled her American Life video. America, a nation which claims to be the most democratic nation of all, a land which claims to protects human rights, a land which claims to cherish the freedom of speech. And now a super star like Madonna has to pull her video because her video conveys a message, a message which the government would not want its people to hear. Dozens of hollywood stars and singers are now 'blacklisted' because they said they wanted peace. An American flag is waving at the end of the re-edited version of American Life.
